This unit is completely solid state. The hollow stainless steel tube acts as the sensing device and provides intrusion free flow monitoring. The versatile unit can read flow rates as high as 10 fps and temperature ranges from -20 to + 180 F, providing a separate 4-20 milliamp DC output for flow and for temperature. It can be supplied in pipe sizes as small as 6 millimeters (1/4 inch) and up to 28 millimeters (1 inch). It can also be field adjusted using the on board zero and span potentiometers to tune the unit to the specific flow rate.
