Texas Instruments Introduces the Industry's Lowest Cost Floating-Point DSP. Suits medical/industrial applications.

Running at 200 MHz, TMS320C6720 digital signal processor (DSP) eliminates need to convert floating-point prototypes into fixed-point designs. It has 64 KB on-chip RAM and 32 KB instruction cache as well as 384 KB ROM preloaded with DSP/BIOS(TM), real-time DSP kernel, and optimized DSP libraries of commonly used functions. This C67x+(TM) DSP generation-based core has C-efficient, VLIW architecture, and its dMAX DMA engine off-loads I/O processing tasks from DSP core.
