March 2007 -- IFM Electronic's new PY7000x Series electronic pressure sensors feature multifunctional flange connections and various surface or wall mounting options for fast mounting in hydraulic applications. The sensors can be mounted vertically to the surface by using the flange connection to CETOP, while the connection to the pressure medium is made using four screws and an inserted O-ring.
As an alternative, the sensors can be mounted parallel to the surface. Additional pressure connections to the measuring cell are available to connect the pressure pipe, independent of the fixing options. The M6 screw is also used as a venting option for a bubble-free hydraulic system.
The PY7000x sensors have two programmable switching outputs PNP/NPN and a measuring range of 0-400 bar (40 MPa). Utilising IFM's ceramic capacitive measuring principle, the sensors operate without wear and drift, even under overload conditions. The four-digit LED display is clearly visible over long distances and can be electronically rotated by 180ø.
By using the fixing holes in the process connection, the sensors can be directly mounted on a DIN rail or on other panels, in any position, without clamps.
