Firstsight Vision has published the latest issue of its well
respected 'Vision Elements Machine Vision Handbook' With 40% more
information than the previous edition, the new publication features
new sections on systems (PCs configured with vision technology),
filters, high speed imaging ,UV and IR lighting and comprehensive
coverage of the new GigE Vision and Gen<i>Cam technology.
The handbook is an extremely useful guide to machine vision, since
each section features a comprehensive 'technology overview', which
not only explains clearly how products featured within the section
work, but also shows how they can best be applied in machine vision
systems. This can be extremely useful when considering complex issues
such as getting the correct illumination for a particular application.
Selecting and ordering of products has also been simplified, with
more emphasis on the performance of product 'series' as well as full
order codes for each product. Firstsight Vision Director, Mark
Williamson said: "Producing a new edition of the handbook is a major
exercise, but so many of our customers have told us how useful they
have found it that we feel the investment in time and effort is
really worth it. It is the sort of publications that engineers keep
on their shelves."
The Machine Vision Handbook is part of Firstsight Vision's strategy
to work in partnership with customers by adding real value in the
selection of machine vision technology.
