November 11, 2005 -- SIE SENSORS, Inc. introduces a compact capacitive proximity sensor. The microBOX sensor is a self-contained unit measuring 34 x 16 x 8mm. They are available in two (2) versions, a proximity sensor used generally for part/product presence and the second type, our Smart Level Technology which is used for liquid level detection. Upon installation this sensor will automatically self-adjust to detect most fluids and not give false signalsAdvertisement
from product filming or foaming. Because of these unique capabilities this sensor can be mounted in areas of overflow, wash down and/or condensation without triggering a false signal.
These sensors operate at 12-30 VDC and are available in PNP or NPN and Normally Open or Normally Closed. This flush mount style sensor has an adjustable sensing distance from 1-8mm, a built-in LED indicator visible from 180° and is IP67 rated. The mounting bracket is included and gives the user several mounting options as well as tie-wrap fastening. Available wiring options are a standard 2 meter cable or an in-line M8 quick-disconnect.
