9 January 2007 -- The UNS1000 - BN18 level switch is a compact top mounting level and temperature switch. It has brass stem and tank screw connection and utilises one buna float, but can provide two level switch contacts for 'low' level and 'low low' level indication. Alternatively it may be configured to provide one level contact and a temperature switch contact, for applications where the monitoring of fluid temperature is required.
The UNS1000-BN-18 has the option of either G1/2 or M20 x 1.5 mm tank screw connection with electrical connection to either M12 or a DIN43650 connector.
The measuring length is from 35 to 1000mm, the float is 18mm diameter with minimum density capability of 0.64 gm/cm3.
Contact rating is 24 VAC/DC max 1A, max 20VA/W.
Standard temperature switch contacts are 70 or 90C and are NC opening on rising temperature.
This level switch complements the existing UNS1000 series of level switches which are generally used on applications where the installation requirements are not so constrained.
The UNS1000-BN-18 is targeted at OEMs requiring liquid level monitoring, with typical applications being ink level in the printing industry, and hydraulic liquid level monitoring on compact hydraulic power packs.
