The Pressure Division of PCB Piezotronics, Inc., announces the Models 106C10 and 106C20 dynamic, ICP® pressure sensors. These high sensitivity, piezoelectric pressure sensors are specifically designed for measuring fast pressure transients, surges, spikes, and pulsations in paper slurry systems. They are used to detect and monitor dynamic pressure pulsations of paper slurry in headbox and piping systems, to troubleshoot and determine root cause of slurry flow irregularities, and to reduce maintenance, increase system efficiency, and improve product quality.
The units generate a low-noise, 300 mV/psi output signal that is capable of detecting very minute pressure transients. The floating gland nut design permits mounting through a check valve, to various lengths, for a flush diaphragm installation. The models are identical, except for overall length, with the 106C10 being 7.5" and the 106C20 being 13.25". Being AC coupled devices, these piezoelectric sensors will ignore any static, background pressure component and respond only to the pressure transients.
