Ethernet networks have been increasing in popularity because of their visibility and speed of data communication. The Gateway can be used with Escort Memory Systems' (EMS) Cobalt HF, HMS, and LRP products to integrate RFID data into any host supporting TCP/IP or EtherNet IND. This module can support up to 16 readers in EMS' Submet16 network, allowing virtually unlimited expansion of RFID information within a plant environment. With an Ethernet network of RFID readers, operators can monitor networks, run individual controller diagnostics, change commands, and much more whether on or off site.
