16 November 2006 -- Jyskä, Finland, KSS Verkko Oy begins to switch its customers over to remote reading before the end of the year. Enermet delivers the AIM system with related field devices for the company, to be followed later by integration platform Enermet AIMIA.
During the pilot phase, KSS Verkko will transfer a thousand metering sites to the Enermet AIM system. "We want to see what AMR means in practice," says Hannu Lakka, metering technician at KSS Verkko Oy.
The advanced AMR makes meter reading more effective and at the same time it enables metering data to be used for multiple purposes. Enermet will deliver to KSS Verkko Oy the updated Enermet AIM system with related field devices. Later on Enermet will also deliver the unique integration platform Enermet AIMIA enabling the effortless transfer of information between, e.g., the customer information system and the AMR system.
"We believe that AMR gives us a better view of the status of the network by tracking power and load information. At the same time, we can support flexible consumption by providing our customers with an interactive communication channel," says Lakka. "Enermet's solution looks promising.
