Chemical-Resistant World-Beam Q12 Sensors

Submitted by nestorb on Wed, 2007-06-06 17:35.
"The sensor is totally encapsulated in a PFA jacket, sealing it against chemicals and vapors that are unsuitable for standard sensor models. With its tiny size and rugged housing, the Q12 is an ideal choice for caustic or washdown applications with serious space limitations."

Balluff Offers New Mini Retroreflective Sensor for Detecting Transparent Objects

Submitted by nestorb on Sun, 2007-06-03 14:38.
The BOS 6K is designed using the autocollimation principle. This means the emitter and receiver are on the same optical axis, ensuring a high degree of switching accuracy. A built-in polarizing filter suppresses interference such as reflections, thus increasing process reliability. The sensor's pulsed, visible red light increases ambient light rejection and makes setup and adjustment a snap.

Balluff Photoelectric Line Sensor Provides Inexpensive Edge and Width Measurement

Submitted by nestorb on Sat, 2007-06-02 14:38.
The BOL 27K operates in three basic modes. Edge position mode detects the position of an object passing over the tape - perfect for strip feed positioning of objects made of materials as different as paper to steel. Once the edges of the reflective tape are calibrated, the percentage of the tape covered by an object gives the BOL 27K an accurate location of the object's edge without the need of feeler gauges or mechanical contact with the object

Want to Reliably Detect Target Objects No Matter How Small or Close They Are? Think Automation and beyond ...

Submitted by nestorb on Tue, 2007-05-15 14:15.
When you have an application that calls for a sensor that can reliably detect small-profile objects at close proximity, look no further than the new IDEC SA1E convergent (pointed-focus) reflective photoelectric sensor!

Hamamatsu Photonics’ S9702 is a three channel visible silicon photodiode, consisting of red, green and blue response diodes.

New Rugged Photoelectric Sensor Family Provides Plethora of Output Options and Features

Submitted by nestorb on Wed, 2007-01-24 08:05.
They are available with NPN, PNP, Relay, AS-Interface and 4-in-1(TM) outputs. 4-in-1 output enables a single sensor to automatically determine the appropriate output type and operate in NPN normally open, NPN normally closed, PNP normally open, or PNP normally closed configurations without requiring any external programming...

Photoelectric sensor sees transparent objects

Submitted by nestorb on Tue, 2007-01-23 07:14.
The BOS 6K sensor is designed using the autocollimation principle. This means the emitter and receiver are on the same optical axis to ensure a high degree of switching accuracy, said the company. A built-in polarizing filter suppresses interference such as reflections, thus increasing process reliability...

AST Detector Coatings Used In Spectrometers

Submitted by nestorb on Tue, 2007-01-09 23:40.
Detectors are coated with GOrg, a unique organic phosphor used exclusively by AST for robust UV applications as part of its ExtendUV range of phosphors. This high-efficiency phosphor is excited at wavelengths between 150 and 400 nm with an emission peak at 545 nm...

HVSys High-Voltage and Control System

Submitted by nestorb on Wed, 2007-01-03 12:46.
The system can source up to 1800 V of either polarity and may be configured for any photomultiplier type. Further expansion may be achieved by using additional RS485 cards.
