Sony developes new SXRD sensor

This new speed is twice as fast as the previous generation so users should see the difference on almost every moving image with less smearing. Sony has plans to stuff these new chips into their latest HDTVs and projectors so there is yet another reason to hold off purchasing an HDTV till you can see these.
