The DS30 available from Sick is more than just an expansion of one of the wide portfolios of industrial distance sensors on the market with its hitherto unique combination of small housing size and precision the DS30 represents a new era of time-of-flight of light measurement.

The new PRAS1 magnetic angle sensor is mounted in a compact M12 housing. With only a 13 mm diameter and an overall length of approximately 50 mm, this small sensor saves space and can be installed in the tightest locations. Its dependable and rugged design makes the PRAS1 angle sensor well-suited for angle monitoring in a wide variety of heavy duty applications such as factory automation equipment, variable valve controls and mobile working machines.

Since this sensor is in a rugged IP 68 stainless steel housing, it can reliably handle the toughest industrial environments and makes it suitable for many applications such as steering and tilt angle measurement on mobile construction equipment.

Hubble's fine guidance sensors are critical components of the telescope's precise pointing control system and are responsible for maintaining the stable pointing that produces the outstanding pictures and data provided by the Hubble. The fine guidance sensors are also used for astronomy. The technology aids in the discovery and measurement of the mass of planets in other solar systems and can improve theories of star formation and evolution by measuring the mass of binary star systems.

The compact distance sensor is designed for distance measurement at ranges between 50 mm and 500 mm. Measured values are transmitted via a 4 to 20 mA analogue output. In addition, the teachable switching output also allows transmission of a freely definable signal value.

With no wearing contacts, Positek inductive transducers are extremely reliable over very long time periods (virtual infinite life) and maintain output stability over a wide temperature range. The X111 features rugged stainless steel bodies sealing between IP65 and IP68, depending upon selected cable or connector options.

Suited for applications utilizing ac and dc operated LVDT inputs, the microprocessor-based, dual-channel Series DMC provides digital position indication and cross-channel math and control functions for monitoring, measuring, and control requirements. Units offer programmable input averaging, digital filtering, and HI/LO limit detection. GUI enables operators to calibrate and set up sensors, retrieve or send programs, and view and collect data remotely through RS-232 or Ethernet.
