The XR19L402/400 series offers different packaging and modem interface options. Both devices can operate in four different modes: active, partial sleep, full sleep and Power-Save. Each mode can be invoked via hardware or software. Upon power-up, the device is in the active mode where the UART and RS-485 transceiver function normally. In the partial sleep mode, the internal crystal oscillator of the UART, or the charge pump of the RS-485 transceiver, is turned off

The two-component light screen enables simple commissioning. The signal processor is entirely integrated in the receiver housing and can be configured via six DIP switches. A 3-digit display and a LED bargraph indicate the status and the orientation of the emitter and the receiver. If required, the configuration can also be implemented with the delivered software.

Zlinx solutions operate within the ISM and 2.4 GHz frequencies. Coupled with extraordinary receiver sensitivity, this radio modem can full-duplex over long distances and through the most difficult environments. Special filtering technology blocks cell phone, pager and other wireless interference. The modem can operate from 9600 bps to 115.2kbps and transfers RS-232/422/485 serial signals. Its over-the-air data rate is 115kbps.

Installation and setup is easy. Simply install the included software and then connect the serial adapter to your USB port. SeaLINK serial ports appear as standard COM ports to the host system enabling compatibility with legacy software. SeaLINK serial adapters are USB bus powered eliminating the need for external power supplies. Status LEDs display transmit and receive activity, and SeaLINK serial adapters support data rates to 921.6K bps.

Micro-Epsilon’s new ‘Optris CT Laser Series’ of non-contact, infrared temperature sensors, combine the accuracy of 75:1 infrared optics (the highest ratio currently on the market for this type of sensor) with small spot sizes, low temperature measurement and precision aiming.

The MAX13487E/MAX13488E feature Maxim's proprietary AutoDirection control. This architecture makes the devices ideal for applications, such as isolated RS-485 ports, where the driver input is used in conjunction with the driver-enable signal to drive the differential bus.

In addition the non-isolated cards feature an eight times baud rate multiplier allowing operation up to 921.6K baud. The SIO-485/CF card also features automatic RS-485 tri-state line drivers and can operate in RS-485 mode without any special software...

The LTC2854 and LTC2855 complement the existing LTC2859/LTC2861 transceivers, which operate from 5-V supplies. RS-485 networks require users to install 120-Ohm termination resistors, based on the physical layout of the twisted-pair wires and the placement of the nodes. If the bus is extended or reconfigured, the end user must change the termination again. By switching the integrated termination on or off under software control, the new transceivers allows the proper nodes to be terminated without the end user’s physical intervention.
