27 April 2007 -- IntertechPira has published the agenda for Image Sensors 2007 - CMOS, Handsets and Beyond. Chaired by Saku Hieta, Director of Camera Sourcing for Nokia, and Jason Hartlove, imaging industry executive, this conference will bring together leading executives, engineers, sales and marketing directors and end users involved in the development of image sensors and electronic imaging.
15 expert speakers will provide technical and marketing insight over a two day period at the beautiful Hilton San Diego Resort - in the centre of the semiconductor world.
Image Sensors 2007 will address key challenges in pixel size, depth of field and resolution, as well as new developments for lowering noise levels and increasing light sensitivity.
Strategies for overcoming production obstacles and achieving slimmer packaging will also be addressed.
Although handsets still dominate the image sensors market, key growth areas in automotive, security/biometrics, and medical applications will also be explored and assessed.
Conference sessions include a market and industry overview, chip manufacturing updates, developments in mobile handsets, and new growth areas for image sensors.
A comprehensive preconference technical seminar 'CMOS imagers: how did we get here and what's next?' will be led by image sensor pioneer and Space Technology Hall of Fame inductee Dr Bedabrata Pain of the Jet Propulsion Lab/NASA.
