02.04.2007CeoTronics AG Audio Video Data Communication, Adam-Opel-Strasse 6, 63322 Rödermark, Germany, listed in the PRIME Standard (ISIN: DE0005407407), has been awarded an order by the German Armed Forces to supply CT-DECT JetCom systems for digital, secure communication in duplex mode (including approx. 3,700 noise protection helmets) for use in areas where noise exceeds 140db(A) worth more than approximately EUR5.5 million.
This order increased the CeoTronics Group's euro order backlog by around 134% (year-on-year), thus pushing it to its highest level by far since the Company was founded.
The order volume reflects a two-year requirement. It is planned to deliver and invoice the first lot of 1,500 helmets with communication systems and accessories by the end of 2007. The rest will be delivered until the end of September 2008
The tender award also includes an option for a third lot of approx. 2,200 noise protection helmets with communication systems and accessories.
CeoTronics is prepared for the smooth completion of the order, ensuring that all other orders will be produced and delivered as planned.

A CT-DECT JetCom system consists of a CeoTronics 'CT-DECT' digital radio system for up to eight mobile participants plus the cockpit, the 'CT-DNR'
digital noise reduction module, and up to eight CT noise protection helmets with built-in CT ContactCom (skull microphone and speaker). These systems are used during Ground Handling, take-off preparation and service of military jets (e.g. Eurofighter).
The German Armed Forces (Air Force) has already been successfully using more than 300 CT noise protection helmets equipped with CT-DECT digital radio systems for Eurofighter ground handling since a long time. EADS in Spain and in Manching (Germany), the Hamburg Police Department, and various industrial customers also opted for the CeoTronics' digital communications system and noise protection helmet several months ago. Austria's Ministry of the Interior has also recently been won over by this system and has placed an order with CeoTronics worth over EUR200 thousand.
Not only does the German Air Force need this internally developed CeoTronics system, but also other units of government security, law enforcement, and rescue services that have to handle helicopters and aircraft on land and at sea - in Germany, in Europe, and around the world.
Of course, aircraft and helicopter manufacturers must ensure that their personnel are protected from extreme noise and that the necessary clear communication is possible during development, testing, transfer, and maintenance.
