Toronto, ON – September 1, 2005 Array Systems Computing Inc. (Array) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the contract for the Canadian Towed Array Sonar System (CANTASS) Mission Simulator (CMS) System and the CANTASS Post Analysis System (PAS) Repair and Overhaul (R&O) and Technical Investigations and Engineering Studies (TIES).
Array is a leader in the design, development and deployment of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS)- based sonar systems. Array holds a current contract with the DND to provide Repair and Overhaul (R&O) Support to the PAS/CMS. We are also under contract to provide SONAR post analysis systems to the Royal Swedish Navy (RSwN) and the German Navy for use at their data analysis centres.
Historically, Litton Systems was the original developer, with Array the subcontractor of the Canadian Towed Array Sonar System (CANTASS) Post Analysis System (PAS) and the CANTASS Mission Simulator (CMS). To enhance the timeliness of service to DND, Array teamed with MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (MDA) of Richmond, British Columbia to provide on-site services to CFB Halifax and CFB Esquimalt.
We submit that our in-depth understanding of acoustic data processing and simulation, in conjunction with our ability to provide immediate and competent on-site service, has given Array the expertise to support services requested by DND.
