28 February 2006 -- Ametek Calibration Instruments has extended its range of Jofra calibrators to include two new liquid bath types. Designated the ATC140A/B and ATC 250A/B these versatile units are configured similarly to the familiar ATC series of dry-block calibrators, but offer what is claimed to be a unique feature. They can be utilised as either liquid baths or dry-block calibrators.

This allows them to meet the needs of customers who have applications such as gas or liquid filled probes, glass thermometers, and multiple probe applications.

Customers may chose to order these calibrators either as liquid baths or as dry-blocks, and can purchase convenient to use kits that provide the ability to switch from liquid bath to dry-block or vice versa.

The ATC140 and ATC250 are fitted with a 150mm deep well with a diameter of 63.5mm that can be used both as a dry-block calibrator and a liquid calibration bath with a magnetic stirrer.

The 63.5mm diameter well is twice the size of any other Jofra dry-block.

This allows it to calibrate more temperature sensors at the same time and to calibrate large as well as odd size and shaped sensors.

These new products offer the same look, feel and features as found with other models in the ATC range.

All have a rugged, slim line aluminium outer casing with die-cast top and bottom.

As with other Jofra calibrators, each has a complete line of supporting accessories such as probe holder, carrying case and extra oil.

All Jofra ATC series calibrators can be used to perform fully automatic calibration routines without an external computer.

Included is Jofracal calibration PC software and feature RS232 serial communications, and offer full computer up and download capabilities.

The easy to use Jofracal software allows users to customise their calibration routines.

These innovative products have many applications in the engineering, manufacturing, laboratory and processing industries.
