May 11, 2006 -- METUCHEN, New Jersey. -- Berkeley Varitronics Systems, Inc, the leader in portable stimulus transmitters introduces YellowFrog(TM), a portable, low-cost power meter.
YellowFrog(TM) is Berkeley's latest handheld power meter measuring between 800 MHz and 2.2 GHz with an accuracy of ± 0.5 dB. Unlike most Berkeley products, this one is connected directly to Gator(TM), Dragon(TM), Lizard or any CW transmitter with a type 'N' out (or adapter) for instant verification of power levels in dBm or Watts. YellowFrog(TM) only requires 2 AAA Ni-MH batteries (2 sets and charger included) to operate continuously for over 8 hours. The portable instrument weighs less than 2 pounds and features a large LCD display and USB port providing both power and communication to any PC. While YellowFrog(TM) includes PC controller/monitoring software for setting frequencies and recording power out levels, it does not require a PC to operate. Available now.
For the past 10 years, Berkeley has been selling the popular and powerful Gator transmitter series. All BVS Gators feature Class A amplifiers with adjustable power output in 0.1 dB steps, VSWR protection, FCC Type Acceptance, CE and FCC Approval, light weight (under 25 lbs.) and weatherproof housing. Available in Cellular (25 or 45 watt) and PCS (10 or 20 watt) as well as LMR, UMTS, MMDS, WCS, WLL, LMDS, ISM, Paging, GSM, iDEN /SMR, AMPS, ETACS, PACS, IS-136 and IVDS bands.
