February 24, 2007 -- Do not let this small USB device fool you to be just another pen drive, ‘Looks can be deceiving’ adage still holds true. This nifty USB modem offers you wireless connectivity anywhere, anytime without the hassles of a mobile phone or an antenna! Speaking of connectivity this device supports multiple networks (literally all of it) over which you can access high-speed internet including HSDPA (3.5G), UMTS (3G), GPRS (2.5G), dual-band GSM (900/1800) and UMTS (2100) networks!
The AnyData ADU-610 is designed keeping mobility in mind. It is small as it gets, sporting dimensions of 35x93x10 mm. The device also features an internal antenna, which would mean saying good bye to those old data cards with external antennas. Good riddance! There is good news on the software and drive front too; the device offers WHQL certified drivers for both Windows Vista and Windows XP alike.
The ADU-610 has its own internal battery and enables connection to the Internet at data speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps. AnyData ADU-610 is based on the Qualcomm MSM6280 chipset. For additionary information on the USB modem, check the spec sheet pdf.
In areas where HSDPA service is not available, ADU-610W still enables reliable and secure data connections over UMTS at up to 384Kbps.
There is still no word on the pricing and availability from AnyData.
