Ametek Power -- The 8TP10 LMX1 introduced by Ametek Power and Industrial Products provides longer life and greater reliability than standard ultraviolet (UV) tube-designed flame sensors. The sensor's improved reliability solves the problem of false trips and helps avoid costly unscheduled turbine shutdowns.

The new Ametek flame sensor is directly interchangeable with turbine-supplied flame sensors and is ideal for aeroderivative gas turbines found in petrochemical, utility, co-generation, and marine applications worldwide. The sensor can be mounted directly to the turbine or onto a bracket up to 24 inches away without any change in performance.

The 8TP10LMX1 is a solid-state UV flame sensor. Its 24 VDC 4-20mA output can be connected directly to many turbine control systems or through a standard relay module. Its two-wire construction also makes it easier to install than other flame sensors. The sensor is standard-loop powered and designed for 125ᄎC operating environments.

Ametek Power and Industrial Products is a leader in the development and manufacture of sensor systems for gas turbine engines and for boilers and burners used by the utility, petrochemical, process, and marine industries worldwide.
